Article 4

MAOF is voluntary, non-governmental and independent association of citizens, scientists, individuals and institutions, as well as business entities that promote improvement of production, distribution and use of healthy organic food. Foreign associations and institutions, which deal with organic food, are able to become MAOF's associate members. Their rights and obligations are regulated with a special Act, which is adopted by MAOF's Assembly.

MAOF manages its activities in accordance with the regulations for organic food production in EU, Canada and USA. It also harmonizes and innovates all of its acts in line with the regulations and practices of the abovementioned countries and unions.

Article 5

MAOF's primary objective is to participate in establishing, proposing or conducting analyses and criticizing the existing and new laws and regulations on manufacture and placement of organic food.

The goal in the Republic of Macedonia is the organic food to be manufactured without using most of the conventional pesticides or fertilizers with synthetic origin. Accordingly, MAOF will encourage food manufacturers and distributors to give advantage to the organic food, thus cutting down health risks, especially amongst children.

With public campaigns, education, communication and promotional activities, MAOF will confirm and bolster its role, being significant factor in the society which pledges to enhance and provide more effective approach to the production and distribution of natural food.

MAOF will kick off activities in terms of establishing Macedonian Center for Certification of Organic Food. Hence, it will collaborate with authorized state, scientific and other institutions, first and foremost with artisan associations of food and beverage manufacturers and with organizations for consumer's protection. Therefore, MAOF will also provide wide international cooperation and support of the established institutions for certification of food with organic origin.

Article 6

MAOF shall realize its goals through:

- Organisation of expert meetings, symposiums and round-tables, where the current situation shall be discussed and solutions for application and improvement of organic food production shall be put forward;

- Organisation of Information Centers and Councils for promotion and practical application of the measures for organic food production at a republic, regional and local level;
- Establishment of international contacts in order to acknowledgement of European and American experiences considering production and distribution of organic food;
- Sponsorships of campaigns for production of organic food in certain regions of the Republic of Macedonia, especially in cooperation with teachers, as well as primary and high school students;
- Foundation of a non-profit center for certification of organic products;
- Other legal activities that are directly and indirectly related to affirmation and application of healthy food production.


Article 7

Individuals, institutions and associations showing interest in production of organic food in the Republic of Macedonia, may become MAOF members;

Foreign nationals and institutions may become MAOF's honorary members, whereas they may become regular members solely through an Assembly's special decision.

Article 13

The Association's Assembly is MAOF's highest body, comprised of all members, summoned when needed, at least once in three months;

It elects the MAOF President with a three-year mandate;

It elects the Presidency and Secretary General of MAOF.

Article 17

The Presidency passes decisions at regular and extraordinary sessions. The regular sessions are held once a month, while extraordinary are scheduled by the President, if necessary;

The Presidency passes decisions on own or mixed enterprises for carrying out operations;

The Presidency decides on establishment of branch offices and professional MAOF Councils, appointing persons in charge.


Article 20

MAOF is financed through:
A. Membership fee, determined through an Assembly decision;
B. Sponsorships and donations by third parties, if not determined by conditions that are contrary to the MAOF Statute;
C. State subsidies;
D. Revenues from publishing and propaganda activities;
E. Revenues from development of analyses and preparation of professional materials and certificates in the field of organic food production;
F. Revenues from operations established by commercial or service enterprises, or agencies established through MAOF decision;
G. Other legal revenues.

Article 21

MAOF's Budget is developed by the Secretariat, in cooperation with the President;
The Presidency approves the draft-budget, while the MAOF Assembly adopts it;
Provided budget funds are spent in coordination with the adopted Budget.

Article 25

In case of MAOF's disbanding, the entire property shall belong to the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Food.
